THE WORK WE'RE DOING
At Wilkore we’re currently seeing the results of our efforts to target universities, with projects under way at universities across the country including Monash University, La Trobe, The University of South Australia and The University of Queensland.
In Queensland in addition to the work underway at the TRI facility at The University of Queensland, Wilkore staff are working on projects including a flood-damage refurb for Aspen and the construction of over 1,000m² of PC2 / PC3 areas at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research.
BIOSCIENCE RESEARCH CENTRE
This BRC project is the result of a joint venture between the Victorian Government and La Trobe University to create one of Australia's premier bioscience facilities. The research centre based at La Trobe's Bundoora campus will be equipped to house cutting-edge research aimed at supporting and protecting Victoria's $11.8 billion agricultural sector. Grocon engaged Wilkore as a specialist contractor to construct the PC2 and PC3 facilities. This includes the installation of the walls, ceilings, flooring and joinery. This complex project has a tight delivery programme for almost 20,000m2 of floor area. The project involves construction of one of only four PC3 glasshouses in the world. Wilkore have been engaged to ensure that this project meets the stringent AQIS and OGTR regulations, as well as the 5 star Greenstar rating of the project.

Russell Athletic Warehouse
Back at Caribbean Business Park, Wilkore are well into work building a new facility for Russell Athletic. The new facility is located next door to the Caribbean Markets and will replace Russell’s current building in the business park. It includes 950m² of office space, twice their existing space, as well as 7,000m² of warehouse space. A portion of the warehouse space is devoted to the manufacturing of Sherrin footballs. The project will be completed before the end of the year.
